Family Weekend

Family Weekend Events took place on Friday and Saturday, October 1 and 2. Events included the: Family Association Dinner, Roadrunner Recovery Celebration, UCinema, Student Indoor Tailgate, and UTSA Football game against UNLV. Family Weekend was an opportunity to have a shared UTSA family experience while also meeting other roadrunner families.

It was great to see so many Roadrunner families during Family Weekend events. Despite a last-minute move indoors, the Family Association Dinner was a success. Special thanks to Mariachi Los Paisanos for the wonderful music entertainment, and to mom and son duo, Gloria and Jose Escobedo, for serving as our MCs for the night.

The energy during the game was amazing and we know that started with the smiles at the Student Indoor Tailgate and the cheers from the Student Section during the game. We hoped you all enjoyed the Roadrunner win!

We would like to once more congratulate the Hernandez Family for being named our 2021-2022 Family of the Year. It was a pleasure celebrating you all!

Thank you to everyone who joined in the festivities. Our UTSA Family Facebook page has a link to all of our photos from this year’s Family Weekend events. We look forward to next year!

We hope to have more opportunities for families to visit campus for shared experiences with their roadrunners. If you are interested in assisting with planning future Family Weekend festivities or other family-focused events, please complete our Family Association Engagement Form.
