Parent Council Scholarship

The Parent Council Scholarship is awarded to current full-time UT San Antonio students whose family members have joined the UTSA Family Association. Because the scholarship is an endowment, the number and value of these scholarships will vary according to the availability of funds. The scholarship criteria and application process are listed below.

Haruka Whitcroft

Haruka Whitcroft is from San Antonio and is studying statistics and data science. She is expected to graduate in May 2026.

Kaiden Kutschman

Kaiden Kutschman is a freshman from San Antonio, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and is a member of the UT San Antonio Honors College.

 

Scholarship Criteria

  • This scholarship is available to full-time undergraduate students actively pursuing a degree.
  • Recipients must demonstrate financial need, as defined by the Office of Student Financial Aid.
  • Applicants must have a family member who is a member of the UTSA Family Association.
  • The number of these scholarships will vary according to the availability of funds.

Application Process

Interested students should apply for the UTSA Parent Council Scholarship via the UTSA Scholarship Hub when submissions open on March 1, 2026. The final selection of scholarship recipients is made by a committee of UTSA faculty and staff members in coordination with the UTSA Office of Student Financial Aid. The deadline to apply is Friday, March 31, 2026.
