Parent Council Scholarship

The Parent Council Scholarship goes to deserving, current, full-time UTSA students with a family member who has joined the UTSA Family Association. The number and value of these scholarships will vary according to the availability of funds. Here are the scholarship criteria and application process to be considered for the scholarship.

2022-2023 Parent Council Scholarship Recipients

Erica McFarland

Erica McFarland, from Missouri City, Texas, is a Senior majoring in Public Health. Erica is expected to graduate with the Class of 2023.

Leanne Flores

Leanne Flores, from Humble, Texas, is a Senior majoring in Biology. Christina is expected to graduate with the Class of 2023.

 

Scholarship Criteria

  • This scholarship is available to undergraduate students enrolled on a full-time basis who are actively pursuing a degree at the University.
  • Recipients must demonstrate financial need, as defined by the Office of Student Financial Aid.
  • Preference will be given to those whose families hold membership in the UTSA Family Association.
  • The number of these scholarships will vary according to the availability of funds.

Application Process

Interested students should apply for the UTSA Parent Council Scholarship using the UTSA Scholarship Hub when it is open for submissions. Final selection of scholarship recipients is made via a committee of UTSA faculty or staff members and coordinated with the UTSA Office of Student Financial Aid. We are currently accepting applications. The deadline to apply is Friday, March 31.
