The Practice Pavilion will help protect student-athletes from inclement weather in South Texas, which is known for its extreme heat temperatures during the summer months. To ensure the highest-quality training environment for our student-athletes, this project will make their wellness and safety a top priority.

The Park West Fieldhouse gives track & field and soccer student-athletes the competitive advantage they need to compete at the highest level. The facility includes components that are utilized by both the UTSA community and the general public. There are still opportunities to support various aspects of this facility.

This practice facility will be connected to the existing Athletics Center of Excellence. Featuring two full size practice courts, our student-athletes will be bound for success. The facility will also increase UTSA’s competitive edge in recruiting and retaining the nation’s best student-athletes and coaches, who are often attracted to universities by the caliber of their training and practice facilities.

On the horizon are state-of-the-art player development facilities for baseball and softball, which each will feature a locker room, player lounge, training room, equipment room and pitching lab. In addition, there are plans for a nutrition training table for all student-athletes that features a full-service kitchen and dining hall to support customized student-athlete nutritional meal plans.
