UT San Antonio Giving Day is an annual 48-hour online fundraising event, taking place March 31–April 2, 2026. During this time, alumni, students, faculty, staff, parents, and friends come together to support the programs, colleges, scholarships, and initiatives they care about most. Every gift — no matter the size — makes an impact and helps strengthen the future of UT San Antonio.

An Advocate is someone who champions UT San Antonio Giving Day by spreading the word and encouraging others to participate. Advocates help amplify our reach by sharing Giving Day information with their personal and professional networks.

Advocates help generate excitement and inspire participation by:

• Sharing the Giving Day link (givingday.utsa.edu)
• Posting on social media
• Sending emails or text messages to friends and family
• Encouraging others to make a gift during March 31–April 2 

Advocates are ambassadors who play a critical role in expanding awareness and increasing participation.

You can sign up by visiting givingday.utsa.edu and selecting the option to become an Advocate. Once registered, you’ll gain access to tools and resources to help you share about Giving Day with your network.

You can start sharing as soon as you sign up!

• Before March 31: Build awareness and let people know Giving Day is coming.
• During March 31–April 2: Actively share reminders, updates, and progress to encourage participation.

Early promotion helps build momentum, and reminders during the 48-hour event drive action.

Advocates have access to:

• The Giving Day Toolkit
• A unique referral link to track impact
• Pre-written email and social media templates
• Graphics and promotional assets

You can still make a big impact! Share your unique referral link through email, text messages, or messaging apps. You can also talk to friends, family, and colleagues directly and provide them with your link to support the cause.

When someone donates using your unique referral link, the gift is automatically tracked in your Advocate dashboard. The more you share your link and story, the more opportunities you create for supporters to give.

Advocates have the chance to win exclusive UT San Antonio Swag based on how many donors they can generate.

• Advocates that secure 2+ donors will receive a UT San Antonio sticker pack
• Advocates that secure 5+ donors will receive a UT San Antonio Tote Bag + Stickers
• Advocates that secure 10+ donors will receive a UT San Antonio Hat + Tote Bag + Stickers.
