A Message From Senior Vice President for Advancement and Alumni Engagement

Senior Vice President for Advancement and Alumni Engagement Karl Miller-Lugo

It is a privilege to lead the Division of Advancement and Alumni Engagement as The University of Texas at San Antonio enters an exciting new era. With the integration of UT Health San Antonio, we have come together as UT San Antonio, an institution that unites the power of higher education, biomedical discovery and healthcare to improve lives across South Texas and beyond.

As the third-largest research university in Texas and a Tier One institution, UT San Antonio is shaping the future of our region through access, excellence and innovation. Now with a unified academic and health enterprise, we are driving discovery and impact across patient care, research and health professions education. From advancing treatments in cancer and neuroscience to strengthening oral health, primary care and surgical specialties, our faculty and clinicians are making a meaningful difference for communities across South Texas.

This past year, we also celebrated the conclusion of Be Bold: A Campaign for Our Future, the largest comprehensive campaign in our history. Thanks to the generosity of alumni, donors, corporations and friends, the campaign expanded opportunities for students, fueled groundbreaking research and strengthened our ability to serve San Antonio and beyond. Your support has truly transformed what is possible at UT San Antonio.

Every day I am inspired by the passion of our students, faculty and staff, as well as alumni and friends like you who believe in this university and its mission. This is a remarkable moment to be a Roadrunner, and I look forward to celebrating all that we will continue to achieve together as UT San Antonio.

With gratitude,

Karl Miller-Lugo
Senior Vice President for Advancement and Alumni Engagement
