Tropical Smoothie Cafe Frisco Bowl – Go Runners!

Dear Faculty and Staff,

Our Roadrunners are always striving for excellence, and our student-athletes are no exception.

This year, our football team has given us much to celebrate. For the first time in our university’s history, our team earned national rankings and won the Conference USA Championship — tremendous accomplishments and historic markers for our Division I athletics program and university. 

And now, it is with great pride and excitement that we look forward to UTSA’s appearance at the Tropical Smoothie Cafe Frisco Bowl. As we take on San Diego State at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, I ask that you help us root our student-athletes on to victory. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 21, and will be nationally televised on ESPN. Ticket information and game details can be found on GoUTSA.com.

UTSA Athletics is growing bolder year after year. Under the outstanding leadership of Head Coach Jeff Traylor and Athletics Director Lisa Campos, our football team continues to strengthen the spirit of our Roadrunner community and bring national recognition to our university for the benefit of all Roadrunners. Our recently launched Bold Champions campaign channels the tide of community support and further reinforces the notion that our football program—and all our sports—are truly San Antonio’s teams.

As faculty and staff, your support of our students on a daily basis motivates and encourages greatness at every opportunity.
