Southwest Campus, Phase Two
The Southwest Campus houses academic and community programs dedicated to advancing arts education in San Antonio. To continue enhancing the campus experience, a variety of work is taking place across seven buildings and throughout the campus grounds.
The Southwest Campus Phase Two project includes fire and life safety upgrades, technology upgrades, mechanical replacements, structural repairs, plumbing code upgrades, utility improvements and accessible parking enhancements.
Overview
In July 2022, UTSA successfully integrated with the Southwest School of Art, now known as the UTSA Southwest Campus. Following the integration, the university began work on a variety of infrastructure and facility projects to support the growing campus community.
Continuing these efforts, the Southwest Campus Phase Two Project will focus on improvements to the overall campus grounds, as well as the following locations:
- McAllister Building (7,563 square feet)
- Urschel Building (15,058 square feet)
- McNutt-Negley Building (11,006 square feet)
- Coates Chapel (5,471 square feet)
- Tobin Building (5,420 square feet)
