Purple Ribbon Fair

Kicking off Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM), the Purple Ribbon Fair brings the on and off-campus community together to promote healthy relationships of all forms and prevent dating/domestic violence and family violence. Wear purple or a purple ribbon in solidarity for survivors and join the movement to put an end to dating, domestic, and family violence!
Healing After Trauma

Healing After Trauma explores different themes on how to heal after experiencing trauma. During these sessions, PEACE provides an opportunity for all in attendance to interact with activities curated to promote healing and wellbeing.
Day of Unity - PEACE Tabling

Student Union - Portico
Day of Unity represents all survivors and serves as a day dedicated to raising awareness about domestic violence, connecting survivors to resources, and bringing the community together. The PEACE table will have free giveaways, information on upcoming events, and an opportunity to write a note to a survivor.

Thursday, October 16, is known as Purple Thursday for Domestic Violence Awareness Month. We are encouraging staff, faculty, and students to wear purple to show solidarity and support for survivors of dating/domestic violence. Whether or not you wear purple on Purple Thursday, stop by and take a picture with a purple ribbon and some signs to show your support for survivors.

Take Back the Night

Join PEACE for an evening of empowerment and healing, where you can expect the opportunity to talk to campus and community partners during a resource fair, march with the signs you have created in support of survivors, a solemn candlelight vigil, and a Speak Out for those affected by violence, first or secondhand, to find their voice.

Whether or not you attended Take Back the Night, we invite you to stop by and release through art, writing, and the company of your Roadrunner community. Members of our staff will be available to hear your questions, comments, or concerns regarding Domestic Violence Awareness Month and/or Take Back the Night.

Green Dot Bystander Overview
This 90-minute interactive overview introduces the basic elements of Green Dot and the issues of power-based personal violence prevention. Join PEACE for this engaging training that will help participants recognize behaviors that constitute red dots, reduce the possibility of red dots happening by introducing green dots, the Three D’s of intervening, recognize personal barriers, and learn how to be proactive to establish a culture that is intolerant of violence on campus.
