Latest information on operational modifications for fall 2021 Roadrunner Roadmap

UTSA Day of Service

UTSA Day of Service is an annual tradition and a volunteer opportunity for UTSA to come together as a community and give back to our San Antonio city. It is the largest service event of the year with 600-800 volunteers and approximately 20-25 community partners. Projects have included community gardens, painting youth centers, landscaping, and other arts and crafts projects.

This year we moved to Month of Service to accommodate social distancing and preventing the spread of COVID 19. There were many ways for students to be involved, such as, donating blood, donating peanut butter and jelly, helping clean up and maintain different garden and green spaces on campus, or helping package items for the Women’s Shelter. This year, Month of Service gathered 154 Roadrunners to complete over 277 hours of service for our local community throughout 15 service projects.

Denim Day is a day to bring awareness to sexual assault. For Month of Service we collect donations of toiletry items that will be a part of an emergency overnight pack for our UTSA community. These packs for students, staff and/faculty to be able to grab if they need to leave a bad situation and do not have time to pack themselves.
