Cultural Student Leadership Awards

The Multicultural Student Center for Equity and Justice plans celebrations and hosts awards that showcase the strengths of the UTSA students and celebrates their accomplishments.  Highlighting the strengths of our communities and lifting student voices is central to our mission.

Black Student Leadership Award

Presented at the culmination of Black History Month, the Outstanding Black Student Leadership award will honor a UTSA student who has shown strong leadership skills and service towards the Black and African American community.

UJIMA Student Leadership Awards

Presented at the UJIMA Graduation ceremony, the UJIMA Student Leadership Award is presented to a graduating student who has shown strong leadership and service towards the Black community throughout their tenure at UTSA. The UJIMA Outstanding Graduate  Award is presented to a student who has achieved high academic success and is sponsored by the Black Faculty and Staff Association.
