NEW CAREER CENTER STAFF
Career Counselor – DT Campus
Dionne Davila comes to student affairs with four and a half years experience in academic affairs working with first-generation students. Having earned her BA in psychology and MA in community counseling from UTSA makes her a roadrunner through and through. She is excited to be working closely with the College of Public Policy and all students at the downtown campus.
Events Manager
Jennifer Bryce is the new Events Manager for the University Career Center. Jennifer was born and raised on the Central Coast of California and graduated from California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly), San Luis Obispo with a B.S. in Agribusiness and a minor in Marketing in 2003. She is most recently from Vail, Colorado where she worked in Resort Management for Vail Resorts, Inc. the past 4 years. Jennifer brings a wealth of experience from her prior professional position and is thrilled to join such a great team of people at the UTSA Career Center.
Recruiting Coordinator
Luisa Ramirez is the new Recruiting Coordinator for the University Career Center. Luisa is a graduate of UTSA with a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies and recently received her M.Ed in Higher Education Administration in December 2010. She brings 6 years of experience of student affairs and is very excited for this opportunity and ready to tackle new challenges.
Internship Coordinator
My name is Christian Corrales and I have recently joined the UTSA University Career Center team as the new Internship Coordinator. I would like to take a moment to tell you a little bit about myself. I am a graduate from the University of Texas at El Paso and hold a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. While at UTEP, I had the opportunity to serve the university for 5 years in a variety of roles within the Student Services division. My first role was as a Peer Mentor for the Student Leadership Institute. From there, I was assigned as an undergraduate assistant to the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs. I also worked at the Student Success Program department. After completing my degree, I accepted a position with Velocity Sports Performance as Director of Internships and was the Assistant Sports Performance Director, which I held for 5 years.
From my combined activities with higher education administration and the sports management industry, I hope to bring a fresh perspective as well as experience into UTSA’s internship program development and management. I look forward to helping employers to strengthen existing and developing new internship programs and assisting UTSA students find the internship that will enhance their experiential learning opportunities.
