Activity Levels in Rowdy Roadmap

You will find two levels of activities on Rowdy Roadmap this fall – Level 1 (Awareness) and Level 2 (Participation).

Level 1

Level 1 activities introduce a specific competency and earn you 10 points.

Level 2

Level 2 activities involve greater participation, which means activities at this level require you to become involved in this competency, and earn you 20-40 points.

Earning points can count toward Achievements (badges) and prizes. We will announce prize opportunities throughout the year.

All undergraduate students can access Rowdy Roadmap by visiting the Suitable log in page. Then enter your email in the format abc123@my.utsa.edu and click on "Continue." For issues logging in, please contact: RowdyRoadmap@utsa.edu.

Activity Levels provide a pathway for growth, recognizing your journey from exploration and participation to application and proficiency.

  • Level 1: Awareness (10 points)
  • Level 2: Participation (20 - 40 points)
  • Levels 3 and 4 launching in Spring 2027

Activities can map to one or more of the nine University Competencies. These competencies align with key career readiness skills and experiences employers are seeking in college graduates.

  • Communication - The ability to clearly and effectively exchange information, ideas, facts, and perspectives with individuals inside and outside an organization, and to express those ideas through written, oral, and/or visual means.
  • Leadership - The ability to recognize and capitalize on personal and team strengths, influence, monitor and evaluate progress on group initiatives, and inspire peers to achieve organizational goals.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration - The ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships to work effectively with others toward a shared purpose and common goals, while appreciating different viewpoints and shared responsibilities.
  • Career and Self-Development - The ability to proactively develop oneself and one’s career through continual personal and professional learning, awareness of one’s strengths and weaknesses, navigation of career opportunities, and networking to build relationships within and without one’s organization.
  • Critical Thinking - The ability to express ideas clearly through written, oral, and/or visual means; this includes creative thinking, innovation, inquiry, and the analysis, evaluation, and synthesis of information.
  • Digital Agility - The ability to navigate and evaluate new technologies ethically and responsibly to enhance efficiencies, complete tasks, and accomplish goals in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Curiosity & Innovation - The ability to thrive in an evolving world by combining academic knowledge, essential skills, adaptability, and a forward-thinking mindset by embracing change, and/or applying one's strengths to achieve success in education, career, and society.
  • Roadrunner Spirit - The willingness to explore events that contribute to an individual sense of belonging as a Roadrunner while connecting the student to the larger UT San Antonio and San Antonio community, with an emphasis on public service and engagement.
  • Wellbeing - The ability to develop strategies across the 8 dimensions of wellbeing (Emotional, Environmental, Financial, Intellectual, Occupational, Physical, Social, Spiritual) to support becoming a well-rounded student and professional.

Once you have logged into the app, select Activities and use the search bar to search by your college (COLFA, ACOB, CAICC, UC, COEHD, COS, HCAP, or KCEID). You can also click Filter to narrow your results by selecting Experience Tag and searching for your specific college.

Once you have logged into the app, click Filter to narrow your results by competency or level to find activities that best match your interests and goals.

The platform is available to all undergraduate students at this time. Some colleges, programs, or student organizations may require you to complete specific Rowdy Roadmap activities or earn a minimum number of points. For example, students in the Alvarez College of Business are required to complete Career Compass, a pathway available through Rowdy Roadmap. Check with your college or program to learn about any specific opportunities or requirements.

Rowdy Roadmap is the platform, and Career Compass is a focused pathway within that platform. While all undergraduate students can use Rowdy Roadmap to discover and engage in activities, build skills and earn points and badges, undergraduate students in the Alvarez College of Business are required to complete Career Compass as part of their degree requirements.
