Charging Stations

More and more students are using their devices to help them stay connected.  For a student who records lectures or takes notes on a tablet or laptop, running out of battery power can be worse than running out of paper.  The UTSA Student Union has installed electrical outlets that also have USB connections with the aim of keeping students powered up all day long.  Charging stations can be found in furniture, free standing towers, and along many railings.

Study Rooms

The Wild Persimmon and Acacia rooms in UTSA Student Union North are available for individual students to use on a first-come-first-served basis for up to two hours at a time. Individuals may sign out these rooms by presenting a valid student ID at the UTSA Student Union Information Desk located on the first floor of UTSA Student Union North. Individual students, faculty or staff members may reserve rooms in the UTSA Student Union for private special occasions and events. UTSA Student Union Special Event fee rates would apply. The UTSA Student Union reserves the right to substitute other spaces for the Wild Persimmon or Acacia as required to meet facility needs.

Free Refreshments

What could be more refreshing after a walk across campus than ice-cold lemonade or sweet tea?  For your convenience, the UTSA Student Union offers complimentary lemonade and iced tea at the Information Desk.  When the weather changes, we'll switch to hot chocolate to help you stay warm on those cold days!  Welcome to the living room of campus, we want you to feel at home!
