DEBBY EYZAGUIRRE
ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT OF STRATEGIC SERVICES

Debby Eyzaguirre currently serves as the Assistant Vice President of Strategic Services for Tech Solutions (UTS) at the University of Texas at San Antonio. In this role, she leads business relationship managers, business analysts, project managers, and the Vendor Management Office. This includes all aspects of the project lifecycle from demand creation to project closeout. Her team's focus is on providing exceptional customer service, both internal to Tech Solutions and external to customers. The team is often the first point of contact for IT requests. They are very gifted in business process creation, operations procedures, and visual swim lanes. In her previous position as Director of Enterprise Service Management, she led the team in expanding the service management platform to align with the university’s strategic goals. Eyzaguirre collaborated directly with other departments to set unified service standards with automation and simplification. Eyzaguirre is a dynamic servant leader in IT with over 20 years of experience and has successfully cultivated high-performing teams across multiple lines of business. Her passion is building the next generation of leaders.

Prior to joining UTSA, Eyzaguirre served the University of North Texas System as part of the executive leadership team. There she led the creation of the IT strategic plan, business relationship management program, project management office, governance framework, and enterprise service design processes. Debby also worked for IBM in the private sector for over ten years, in a variety of positions, including a service delivery manager. Debby’s combined experience in higher education and the private sector brings a unique perspective and energy to our ongoing digital transformation.

A first-generation college student, Eyzaguirre holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She also has a BRMP certification from the Business Relationship Management Institute and a consultant certification from IBM. In 2020, Eyzaguirre was selected by the Governor of Texas to take part in the Executive Leadership for Information Technology Excellence (ELITE) training program.
