AUGUST 21, 2020 — UTSA is committed to supporting the university community during remote learning and operations. Here is your latest digest of university news and tips.
SHARE YOUR UTSA SPIRIT
It’s Spirit Friday, part of Roadrunner Days, the kickoff of the new fall semester. So put on some UTSA gear, snap a selfie and post it on social media with a #UTSARRDays hashtag. Then on Monday classes officially start with 4,000 online and 200 in-person courses on offer. Roadrunner Days events will continue over the next week and will focus on engagement and student success.
COMMUNITY NEWS
HR IS NOW PEOPLE EXCELLENCE: Human Resources announces an exciting step forward as it evolves into the Office of People Excellence. The transition will allow People Excellence to place an even greater emphasis on serving the university’s faculty and staff, while creating bold new improvements to operations, organizations and partnerships.
FIGHT THE FLU: Protect your health and ensure the safety of fellow Roadrunners and everyone around you by visiting one of UTSA’s upcoming flu shot clinics. Register for an appointment for a clinic on either Main Campus or Downtown Campus to save time when you arrive. Walk-ins are also welcome. For everyone’s safety, temperature screenings, face coverings and observing social distancing will be required to enter the clinic.
PUBLIC HEALTH TRAINING UPDATE: As part of our shared responsibility to keep our Roadrunner community safe, all faculty, staff and students were asked to complete a mandatory public health compliance training. For faculty and staff, this training was due by August 14. Supervisors have now received lists of employees who have not yet completed the training and will follow up as needed. If you have not taken this important training, please complete it through MyTraining as soon as possible.
