MARCH 31, 2022 — UTSA leadership updated the campus community today regarding the progress in merging of the Southwest School of Art (SSA) with UTSA.
The update includes the latest developments in the UTSA College of Liberal and Fine Arts visioning process and Bachelor of Fine Arts program, the transition of the SSA community programs, the transfer of students and faculty and staff hiring updates.
UTSA remains resolute in the vision to build upon the fused strengths of the two institutions by ensuring the long-term continuity and advancement of arts education and degree programs in San Antonio and expanding community-focused creative arts education to its fullest.
