About the Collection
UTSA proudly celebrates Women's History Month with an exhibit dedicated to the life and legacy of Rosemary Kowalski - an icon of San Antonio's hospitality industry. As a pioneering woman business owner who grew a small catering business into a culinary enterprise, Rosemary's influence on key moments in San Antonio's history—including serving as the official caterer of HemisFair '68 and for countless dignitary visits to the city—has lasting impact.
Preserved by UTSA Libraries Special Collections, a selection from Rosemary's delightful collection of personal papers and artifacts is on display for a limited time in honor of her 100th birthday this year. Exhibit attendees will enjoy a rare and intimate glimpse into Rosemary's story through her photographs, recipes, appointment calendars and other personal mementos from her 70+ year career.
