Postdoctoral Positions in Biochemistry

The University of Texas at San Antonio, Department of Chemistry invites applications for multiple postdoctoral fellow positions effective immediately for conducting protein structure-function relationship studies, mechanistic enzymology, bioinorganic chemistry, biophysical spectroscopy, macromolecule crystallography, chemical biology, and medicinal chemistry studies. These positions are sponsored by federal research grants from NIH and are open until filled.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Chemical Biology, or Structural Biology. Prior experience and training with at least one of the following is required: transition metal-containing proteins and the molecular mechanisms of their functions including enzyme-mediated catalytic reactions and metalloprotein-mediated signal transduction regulations; structural determination of protein or protein/nucleic acid structures; EPR spectroscopy or mass spectrometry.
