Special Queue: Big Memory Nodes
The big memory (bigmem) nodes are not part of the general queue and require special steps to access. These nodes are only for large memory workloads; any other jobs found running on these nodes will be terminated.
Since the primary resource of interest is the memory as well as the system's memory bandwidth, these nodes are setup with only one slot. There is no parallel usage of the bigmem nodes.
It is possible to access a bigmem node interactively via the following command:
$ qlogin -q bigmem.q -l bigmem
Use the following to enable a job script to run on the bigmem queue:
#$ -q bigmem.q
#$ -l bigmem
