Joint Sponsorships Events and Procedures

At UTSA, in order for an external or non-UTSA entity (Invited/External Host) to use university buildings or facilities for any type of activity, the event must be co-hosted by an internal UTSA department or office (UTSA/Internal Host). This is called a joint sponsorship. This policy is a requirement of the UT System Board of Regents’ Rules and Regulations and is enforced on all three UTSA campuses.

When space is available between academic classes and programs, we are committed to partnering with local businesses and community organizations interested in using UTSA Downtown Campus facilities for activities that directly supplement the educational purposes of the university.

To ensure UTSA meets each event's needs, Invited/External Hosts and UTSA/Internal Hosts are asked to initiate the approval process for jointly sponsored events preferably sixty (60) days prior to the event.

Visit the UTSA Joint Sponsorships website to learn more about the process, procedures and to download the Joint Sponsorship Application.
