What is Extended Education?

About Extended Education

Extended Education is both supplemental education to a more traditional degree such as bachelor's and individual certifications that can teach you new skills or highlight your current skills. In today's demanding job market, you can never be overeducated. The more education you have, the more marketable you are as a potential employee. However, we also have certifications and classes for your personal development and interests. If traditional education is more your style, we also have test preparation workshops for the SAT, GRE, GMAT, LSAT, and MCAT exams.

About the Extended Education Office at UTSA

The Office of Extended Education serves regional adult, professional and continuing education needs through a range of targeted programs that match the university’s unique resources with the lifelong learning needs of the central Texas area. Operating out of the UTSA Downtown Campus, the Office of Extended Education works collaboratively with academic and non-academic units of the university to develop and present seminars, online courses, conferences and programs for the general public, professional and governmental agencies, and businesses. Our dedicated staff is here to help you through all registration processes, support for your classes, and can answer many questions about your educational needs.

Some of our most popular classes are developed in partnership with other departments on campus and within the UT system.
