Academic Inquiry & Scholarship (AIS) Academic Pathways Course

All first-year students will complete the Academic Inquiry & Scholarship (AIS) Pathways Course, which is designed to orient first-year students to the different fields of study within your Academic Pathway. The AIS Pathway Course addresses various academic skills necessary to succeed beyond the first year in college.

  • First-Year Students in the AIS course will:

    • Participate in Major & Career Exploration
    • Engage in a Signature Experience within an Academic Pathway
    • Further develop Critical Thinking Skills
    • Further develop Leadership & Academic Success Skills
    • Participate in dialogue with the AIS Academic Pathways Instructor, Teaching Assistant (TA), and Peer Mentor (PM) and fellow first-year students
