The Office of Online Learning sponsors a variety of workshops and training on topics related to educational technologies, online and hybrid & blended learning, Blackboard Learn, and emerging technologies for teaching and learning.

  • Training Sessions discuss and demonstrate the use of Blackboard and related educational technologies.
  • Coffee Break Sessions serve as a way for colleagues to share their teaching experiences using educational technologies. Coffee and light refreshments are served.
  • Workshops are also peer-to-peer opportunities for learning instructional strategies with educational technologies that include hands-on practice.

Coffee Break: Tips for Scalable Online Lessons - Join us for this coffee break with guest speaker Dr. Sosa. What should you include in an online lesson? What’s important? What will work online? How much is too much? The presenter will share some tips on how to create scalable online lessons that engage students, combine lecture and textbook information and do not overwhelm students with too much information. The presenter will also provide pointers about scalable lessons and how it has helped her with teaching online.
