Our vision in Student Affairs is to be a leader in the development of a dynamic and diverse culture that facilitates learning and engages students. Our core values express our commitment to dignity, respect, diversity, empowerment, innovation and most appropriately, our opportunity to spark transformation within students and ourselves.
The Transformation Fund was established in 2009 by the Vice President for Student Affairs to create a way for staff to fund new, innovative program ideas for their areas. Unique in its ability to lend support to a wide range of university constituents, the Transformation Fund is sponsored primarily by the generosity of staff within the Division of Student Affairs. This fund creates a philanthropic presence within our division and encourages staff to cultivate their programmatic visions, ultimately seeing their ideas come to fruition through charitable giving.
As staff members, we help transform students into the leaders of our society. Through gifts to the Transformation Fund, we are demonstrating our commitment to our core values and transforming what it means to support our students and fellow staff members. Your gift will help fund and sustain innovative programming such as:
- Leadership development trainings for both students and staff
- Diverse and dynamic speakers to inspire our creative spirit in Student Affairs
- Professional development for students as they transition out of college and into the workplace
- National competition and conference fees to enrich the student experience
- And much more…
Projects funded in the past include a civil rights trip, guest speaker for alcohol awareness week, and a service-learning symposium.
Please consider making a contribution to the Transformation Fund online, via payroll deduction, or in person to the Student Affairs Development Office (Main Building, Room 2.474). Our division is committed to leading the way in building a culture of giving to our great University.
