Dear Colleagues,

I'd like to give thanks to every one of you for reaching out to students in your special way and making a difference in students' lives.  We have such a tremendously talented staff that is known for their dedication to getting the job done in an exemplary manner.   In addition to our long hours spent on administrative tasks, I would like to recognize and commend you for the enormous caring that you offer to students and our community in times of great need.  There have been a number of incidents this semester, and in each case departments have worked together quickly to reach out to students, family, and friends.

Best wishes for a safe and satisfying Thanksgiving celebration in the company of your loved ones.

 VP search update:

The week of November 6, we had the opportunity to meet and greet, and to hear presentations from the four final candidates for the Vice President for Student Affairs. Thank you for the time you invested and the feedback you provided. The search committee will review the evaluations and recommend the top three candidates for the President’s consideration soon.

Subject: RE: Patrick Keller's request regarding CS 5513

Dear Sandra!

Thank you - you've given me my "treat" for Halloween today - and have taken much stress off of Patrick - and the rest of the group he is with in Spain!! I know so many people are quick to criticize and slow to praise - but all I have is praise for everything you have done, and the guidance you gave me, as I was quite ignorant of procedures and what to do. Please feel free to forward my email to your supervisor - or even the Dean - or let me know who I can contact to express my gratitude and satisfaction with your assistance, professionalism, and timely action in resolving this (as well as your kindness and positive attitude.

With deepest gratitude,

Valerie Keller
