I am on an assessment listserv, and an interesting topic came up recently. The conversation was about using visual images to document student learning.

So, if you’re tired of using the same old survey approach, maybe it’s time to look at other methods of collecting data. Here are some resources that were shared as a part of the discussion. Thanks to members of the Student Affairs Assessment Leaders group for sharing this information.

If you have other ideas, please share them with me. Students take photos of lots of things to include food, haircuts, and their feet. Why not involve them in capturing their own learning in photos?
