UTSA campuses to open at noon on Wednesday, Jan. 17 due to severe weather

(Jan. 16, 2018, Updated 3:45pm) -- As the San Antonio and Hill Country areas begin to dry out from this week’s freezing precipitation, all UTSA campuses will delay opening until noon on Wednesday, Jan. 17. Classes, scheduled events and normal business operations will resume at that time at the Main, Downtown and Hemisfair Campuses.

Above freezing temperatures are expected by midday Wednesday. However, the UTSA community is urged to use good personal judgment in determining whether it is safe to drive to campus. Conditions may vary across the region.

Students should contact their professors and instructors directly to discuss any questions they have about class attendance and assignments. UTSA faculty should consult with their department chairs, and UTSA staff with their supervisors, if there are travel concerns.
