Resources | Social Media GuidelinesHelp Us Help You

UTSA is an expansive community of nearly 31,000 students and more than 5,600 faculty and staff. We encourage you to connect and interact with other UTSA departments and organizations through social media. We also invite you to participate in two ongoing social media series:

Meet a Roadrunner®

This weekly social media series runs at 7 a.m. every Wednesday on UTSA’s official Facebook and Twitter pages. It is cross-promoted on UTSA Today.

Meet a Roadrunner® submissions feature successful UTSA students, faculty, staff, alumni and supporters. These compelling stories demonstrate that UTSA’s most valuable resource is its people. The series also shows how Roadrunners are actively building community – at UTSA, across the nation and around the world.

University Communications accepts Meet a Roadrunner submissions on an ongoing basis. Simply send an email to with Meet a Roadrunner in the subject line. Submissions should be 150-200 words in length. They also should include the name, phone number and email address of the individual(s) mentioned.

Where Roadrunners Roost (upcoming)

In January 2014, this weekly social media series will run at 7 a.m. every Friday on UTSA’s official Facebook and Twitter pages. It’s our version of a Fun Friday series.

In this series, UTSA students, faculty, staff, alumni and supporters will be encouraged to share photos that display their UTSA spirit. This series will focus on the global reach of the UTSA community. Wear your orange and blue to the Eiffel Tower or flash the Rowdy sign from the Amazon jungle. We’ll proudly display your photos here.

Send your photos to with Where Roadrunners Roost in the subject line. In addition to sharing your photo(s), submit the names, phone numbers and email addresses of the individual(s) pictured. Also include a line or two about where you’re pictured and what you’re doing there, so we can share that with others.
