Senior Technical Engineer for the San Antonio River Authority

How did UTSA best prepare you for what you are doing today?

“The UTSA engineering program helped me in becoming a better problem solver, in sharpening my analytical skills, and in taking more calculated risks. As an employee of the San Antonio River Authority, I have managed the development of comprehensive numerical water quality models and tools that are used to identify and mitigate the impacts of storm water runoff. These efforts are nationally recognized and have merited two awards: American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Texas, Gold Medal Award (2016) and ACEC National Recognition Award (2016). I continue to foster the use of sustainable storm water management practices among students within the Civil Engineering Department.”
