Emmanuel Quiroz

“I graduated in spring of 2018 with a degree in communications. My most treasured memory was seeing my family after graduation. It brought every single essay, hour studying in the JPL, memory of serving my community, and the hard work my parents did into fruition.

I am the first in 5 generations to have graduated. My great grandma at 90 was able to see her first great-son walk that stage. I remember seeing the tears of pride in her eyes. I am the son of immigrants who brought me here to succeed and be better, and to live THEIR American Dream.

I will forever be grateful to have gone to an institution that served not only minorities but mi gente. An institution that wants to see you succeed and will give everyone resources in order to achieve what is wanted.”
