Finding Balance & Building Momentum in February
As the spring semester settles in, February can be a turning point for many students. With the excitement of the new semester fading and coursework ramping up, it’s a great time to check in and offer encouragement. A supportive conversation can help students stay focused, build healthy habits, and navigate challenges before midterms arrive.
Let’s help your Roadrunner stay balanced, motivated, and connected this month.
Conversation Starters
- How are your classes going now that you’re in a few weeks?
Encourage them to reflect on what’s working—and what might need an adjustment?

This helps normalize experimentation and improve.

Open-ended and supportive, without pressure.
- How are you taking care of yourself as the workload increases?
A gentle reminder that wellness matters as much as academics.
- Are there any events or campus activities you’re looking forward to this month?
Great for promoting engagement and social connections.
