Campus Traditions Shirt Design Contest
Show your Roadrunner spirit and help shape the look of two of UT San Antonio’s biggest campus traditions. Students are invited to submit original shirt designs for Roadrunner Days and for Homecoming and Family Weekend. Winning designs will be selected through a student committee vote in partnership with Student Affairs and will be featured on official event shirts.
Prizes
First place winner for each design will receive a grand prize of two tickets to Howdy Rowdy Bash and two tickets for seats in an Alamodome Suite at a UTSA Roadrunner Home Football Game. Prizes are non‑exchangeable, non‑transferable, and not redeemable for cash value.
How to Enter
Submit your design to the Roadrunner Days and Homecoming and Family Weekend Shirt Design Contest Form on RowdyLink as an attachment (see Official Rules below for accepted formats). Submissions are due by Wednesday, May 20, 2026.
Submitted designs will be voted on by a student committee in partnership with Student Affairs.
Official Rules
Please review the requirements below before submitting your design. To be considered, all designs must comply with the requirements outlined below. Failure to comply with official rules may result in disqualification.
- You must be a student at UT San Antonio and be enrolled for Fall 2026.
- Entries must be individual; group submissions are not accepted.
- Original digital art only.
- Submissions become the property of UT San Antonio. Student Affairs reserves the right to alter the design as needed.
- Artwork must follow Design Specifications and comply with UT San Antonio branding guidelines.
- Accepted digital formats include:
- Raster file at least 300 ppi at print size (Photoshop, InDesign, JPEG, or PNG), or
- Vector file (Adobe Illustrator, EPS, or PDF).
Design Specifications and Branding Guidelines
Designs should represent UT San Antonio as a whole, rather than focusing on a specific college, department, or academic program.
Keep adaptability in mind when designing. The winning design will be adapted to different shirt types and sizes, which feature different primary colors and lettering.
The design itself should use a maximum of three colors.
Any use of the UTSA Athletics logo should be specific to a Homecoming and Family Weekend design. Should the winning design include the UTSA Athletics logo, Student Affairs will coordinate with UTSA Athletics for approval.
