A Destination to Celebrate and Connect

Brenan Lawn North and South, formerly known as Mom’s Kitchen and the Flex Events Stage, are now complete and open to the UT San Antonio community. Located along Brennan Avenue near the Convocation Center, these vibrant outdoor spaces are part of the university’s placemaking initiative to create dynamic, welcoming environments that enhance campus life.

Designed for high-energy gatherings and student engagement, Brenan Lawn South features a performance stage that has already hosted major events — including the successful Rowdy Glow, which drew approximately 3,000 students. The space is primed for concerts, celebrations and student-led programming throughout the year. 

Across the lawn, Brenan Lawn North offers a large BBQ pit and open green space, perfect for cookouts, casual hangouts and community-building activities. Together, these areas serve as a central hub for connection and celebration, enhancing the campus experience and setting the stage for future placemaking.
