If your UTSA-issued PC is not compatible with Windows 11, you will need a replacement. Purchasing devices may be handled by a specific person in your department. Contact your supervisor for next steps.

If opting to purchase a PC outside of the UTS recommended standard configuration, please make sure that your purchase meets the following specifications. Please note that UTS strongly encourages only purchasing business-grade hardware. This will help ensure longevity of your purchase and allow UTS to properly support your device.

Processor: 14th Generation Intel Core i5 / u5 processor or greater with Intel vPro Support
Memory: 16GB DDR4 memory or greater
Hard Drive: 256GB SSD (Solid State Drive) or greater
Warranty: 5-year extended support warranty


Purchasing Macs: 
Mac computers are also an excellent choice for faculty, staff, and student use. All new Mac computers meet UTS recommended specifications.
