AirRowdy Wireless

Windows 11 System:

1. Access Wi-Fi settings by clicking the Wi-Fi icon in the taskbar (usually in the bottom right). Make sure Wi-Fi is turned on (highlighted blue).
2. Click on “AirRowdy” from the available networks.
3. Select “Connect Automatically” to save these settings for future use.
4. When connecting for the first time, you will see a certificate warning. This is expected and safe on our campus network. If you click "show certificate details," the certificate should show as issued to fs-eyeman.utsa.edu. Click "Connect" to accept the certificate and continue.
5. In the login window, enter your myUTSA ID (abc123) and passphrase in the "user name" and "password" fields and click OK. Do not select "use my windows user account."
6. Wait for the connection process to complete. You should see “Connected, secured” under AirRowdy.

Windows 10 System:

1. Click on the Wi-Fi icon in the taskbar or settings menu and select “AirRowdy”.
2. Enter your myUTSA ID (abc123) and passphrase in the respective fields.
3. Then click “Connect” to accept the certificate and obtain internet access.

Note: To verify the certificate, click “Show certificate details” and confirm the certificate is being issued by “fs-eyeman.utsa.edu”.

2. Under Network Name, select “AirRowdy”.
3. Leave the certificate selection as “No certificate selected” and enter your myUTSA ID (abc123) and passphrase in the appropriate fields.
4. Click “Ok” to connect to the network.
5. Then click “Continue” to accept the certificate and obtain internet access.
   Note: To verify the certificate, click “Show Certificate” and confirm the certificate is being issued by “fs-eyeman.utsa.edu”.

2. From the network selection, choose “AirRowdy”
3. Enter your myUTSA ID (abc123) and passphrase in the appropriate fields and tap "Join"
4. Tap "Trust" to accept the security certificate and obtain internet access.
5. Then click “Continue” to accept the certificate and obtain internet access.
   

1. Open the Settings app on your Android device and tap "Wi-Fi"
2. From the network selection, tap “AirRowdy”.
3. Enter your myUTSA ID (abc123) and passphrase in the appropriate fields.
4. Select "don't validate" from the CA certificate field to accept the certificate and tap "Connect" to obtain internet access.
   
   Note: If you have a Pixel or Chromebook, you may require additional settings as illustrated here:

4. Click "Connect". When your browser opens, accept the Terms of Service. You're connected!

3. Optional: If you'd like your device to reconnect automatically, select "Connect Automatically"
4. Click "Connect." When prompted by your browser, accept the Terms of Service. You're connected!

1. Click the network icon in the bottom right corner of the taskbar
2. Click the right-arrow icon next to the Wi-Fi icon to view available wireless networks
3. Select "eduroam"
4. Optional: users can select "connect automatically" if they prefer their device to default to an eduroam connection, but this is not recommended for UTSA faculty and staff, who shoud use AirRowdy where available.
5. Click "Connect"
6. Uncheck "Use my Windows user account"
7. Enter your UTSA email and passphrase. Do not use your abc123 or your personal Windows device credentials, as these will not work with eduroam.
8. Review the security certificate details by clicking "show certificate details" and verify that the authentication server is "eduroam01.it.utsa.edu"
9. Click "Connect"

1. Go to System Settings and click on Wi-Fi
2. Click "eduroam" and click "Connect"
3. Enter your myUTSA email address and passphrase. This should be in the format first.last@utsa.edu. Do not use your abc123. 
4. When the certificate is presented, it should indicate that your authentication server is eduroam01.it.utsa.edu. Click "Continue"
5. Verify you are Connected.

4. When the network details appear, tap Connect to proceed
5. Enter your UTSA email address and passphrase (first.last@utsa.edu). Do not use your abc123
6. Tap Join to begin the authentication process
7. When prompted, your device will indicate the certificate is not yet trusted. Verify the authentication server reads "eduroam01.it.utsa.edu"
8. Press "Trust" to send your credentials to the server and connect to the eduroam network

1. Open the Settings app on your Android device
2. Tap Connections from the Settings menu
3. Ensure Wi-Fi is enabled, then tap Wi-Fi to view all available wireless networks
4. Locate and tap "eduroam" to begin the connection process
5. Enter your UTSA email address and passphrase (first.last@utsa.edu). Do not use your abc123
6. For certificate validation, select Do Not Validate or No Certificate
7. Tap Connect to complete the connection process
8. When prompted, your device will indicate the certificate is not yet trusted. Verify the authentication server reads "eduroam01.it.utsa.edu"
9. Press Yes, connect to send your credentials to the server and connect to the Eduroam network
