MAY 14, 2022 — As students at UTSA, the spring class of 2022 lived an experience unlike any class before it. They endured an array of challenges brought on by a global pandemic but also took part in many of the greatest achievements in UTSA’s history—from a Tier One research recognition to a conference championship for Roadrunners Football. Their college journeys have been momentous, to say the least, and they will culminate during Commencement today at the Alamodome.
The university will hold two Commencement ceremonies on Saturday to celebrate the 5,031 graduates of the spring and summer 2022 classes. Graduates of the College of Liberal and Fine Arts, College of Sciences and College for Health, Community and Policy will cross the stage during the first ceremony at 10 a.m. Graduates of the Carlos Alvarez College of Business, University College, College of Education and Human Development and the Margie and Bill Klesse College of Engineering and Integrated Design will receive their degrees during the second ceremony at 4 p.m.
Of those 5,031 graduates in the spring 2022 class, 3,981 will be receiving their bachelor’s degrees, 956 will be obtaining master’s degrees, and 94 will be earning doctoral degrees this weekend. The following is a breakdown of spring 2022 graduates by each college.
Alamodome doors will open at 8 a.m. for the first Commencement ceremony and 2 p.m. for the second ceremony. Each event is expected to be two-and-a-half hours in length. No tickets are required and there will be open seating and handicapped seating for guests.
