Students

UTSA offers a wide variety of science programs that are academically strong, fulfill the mission and goals of UTSA, and meet the needs of a rapidly growing local and state population. Students of all backgrounds, especially those historically underrepresented in the sciences, are encouraged to explore career options in the sciences whether they be in the research or applied sciences.  The university’s three campuses provide the access and opportunity for such students to participate in and excel at the sciences.  Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education recently ranked UTSA 11th in the nation for awarding master’s degrees to Hispanic students and third in the nation for bachelor’s degrees.
