Article V

Committees

Section 1 – Executive Committee

The Executive Committee shall consist of the Assembly Chair or his/her designate, Secretary of the General Faculty/University Assembly, Parliamentarian, Student Government President, Faculty Senate Chair and Staff Council Chair. The Committee will prepare the agenda for each regular or special meeting.

Section 2 – The Elections Committee

The Elections Committee shall consist of five members – one faculty, one classified staff, one professional staff, one student, one administrator – will facilitate nominations and elections of representatives and committee members, as needed.

Section 3 – Assembly Standing Committees

The Assembly Standing Committees shall consist of five members – one faculty, one classified staff, one professional staff, one student, one administrator – may be created by the Assembly membership on a 2/3-majority vote and renewed every four years by the same vote.

Section 4 - Special Ad Hoc Committees

Ad hoc committeesmay be proposed by any member of The Assembly to fulfill specific goals. A simple majority vote of the membership present at the meeting of The Assembly will establish the committee.Size and composition of such committees will be determined by the Chair.
