More information: http://www.utsa.edu/today/2005/02/poster.cfm Best-dressed door and office contest beginsThe Campus Activities Board’s best-dressed door and office contest officially kicks off homecoming week today. Faculty and staff are encouraged to decorate their doors or departmental offices as part of the homecoming festivities. For offices that signed up to compete Friday, Feb. 18, judges are looking for those with the most UTSA spirit, creativity and use of the homecoming theme – “X marks the spot – 35 and Soaring!” More information: Sara Grafton, 458-4728 Relax with a little jazz in the plazaEnjoy a casual evening, café-style, with Jazz in the Plaza at the Bill Miller Plaza, UTSA Downtown Campus, from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 23. Listen to live jazz music by Small World and enjoy light snacks, flavored coffees and teas. Those present are eligible to win two roundtrip tickets to any Southwest Airlines destination. Inclement weather will move the event inside the Buena Vista Street Building Assembly Room (1.338). The event is free and open to the public. Golf Cart Parade is WednesdayThe Homecoming Golf Cart Parade is a UTSA tradition. Everyone is invited to the 1604 Campus Sombrilla Plaza at noon, Wednesday, Feb. 23 to check out the parade carts. New homecoming tradition begins ThursdayJoin the entire UTSA community at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 24 at the UTSA Track on the 1604 Campus for Rowdy Rampage. Rowdy Rampage is the newest tradition at UTSA. A night pep rally with fireworks and a live band, Rowdy Rampage is sure to become the best homecoming tradition. Bring the entire family, blankets, lawn chairs and picnic food as we light up UTSA for an event to remember. Hit the links Friday at La CanteraSign up for golf Friday, Feb. 25 on the Palmer Course at the Westin La Cantera Resort. A continental breakfast is served at 9 a.m. in the clubhouse, followed by a 10 a.m. tee time. Golfers can play as individuals or as part of a foursome. Cost is $90 per person. Cost is $20 per person. There is a cash bar. The women’s game begins at 3 p.m. with the men’s game starting at approximately 6 p.m. at the Convocation Center on the 1604 Campus. Come watch your Southland Conference Champion Roadrunners defend their title. Cost is $10 for adults and $6 for children. UTSA students get in free with UTSACard.
