Define PO procedure changes, training required

For Define users and approvers of purchase orders, the commands for reviewing and approving purchase orders (PBO, PB4, PB7, PXO, PX4 and PX7) will no longer be available in Define beginning Nov. 1. PointPlus under UT Direct will now be used to review and approve these documents. Read more at https://utdirect.utexas.edu/pointplus.

In order to log into PointPlus, you must have an activated EID and current password. An EID activation class is set for 8:30-9:30 a.m., Oct. 19 in Humanities and Social Sciences Building Room 2.02.02. To enroll in the class or to have your password reset if it is inactive, contact Define Services at 458-4556, 458-4346 or 458-4343. The new process must be completed by Nov. 1 in order to continue processing or approving purchase orders for your department or area.

Speakers needed for student programs

The Office of Student Activities is seeking speakers to add to the Speakers’ Bureau. Through the program, students will have a resource to find speakers who are willing to make presentations at no charge. This is a great service to the UTSA community, especially for student organizations that do not have the resources to pay for speakers. If you are an expert in a topic and want to volunteer your expertise to a student organization, contact Student Activities at 458-4160.

Are you a single, Latina, social drinker and age 21-35? UTSA and the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio are looking for Hispanic women to be in a research study on alcohol and social interactions. You could earn up to $60 for a one-day research study.
