From President Ricardo Romo: A Statement on the Working Environment

To the UTSA community:

The University of Texas at San Antonio maintains a strong commitment to ensuring a campus climate that welcomes and promotes respect for all members of the university community. In our commitment to faculty, staff and students, the UTSA Office of Equal Opportunity (EOS) supports a learning and working environment that is inclusive and free of illegal discrimination and sexual harassment. Every member of the UTSA community is expected to comply with federal and state laws and with UT System and UTSA policies prohibiting sexual harassment.

EOS is the university office charged with investigating all internal claims of sexual harassment and recommending appropriate remedial action. If you feel that you are being subjected to sexual harassment or are aware of sexual harassment occurring at UTSA, contact EOS at (210) 458-4120. All faculty, staff and students have an affirmative duty to report these types of complaints to EOS.

Fall back: Daylight savings time ends Sunday, Nov. 1

At 2 a.m., Sunday, Nov. 1, remember to set back your clocks by one hour as daylight savings time ends for this year. Employees working during the change to standard time will receive credit for nine hours worked for that completed shift and should be reflected on the employee time record. Schedule adjustments within the seven-day workweek may be made by department supervisors to prevent the accrual of overtime or state compensatory time hours.
