Research Interests

• My research interest is in the field of condensed matter physics, particularly the theory of strongly correlated electron systems. Novel phenomena observed in low dimensional electron systems at low temperatures have been the subject of my work during past few years.
Recent advancements in technology has made it possible to fabricate extremely small structures, of the size of nanometers ( 10^-9 meters).

Nanostructures like nanorings or nanowires as one dimensional example are capable of remarkably different physical behavior than what we expect from past experiments.

• The quantum coherence of electrons observed in two dimensional double quantum wells known as Bilayer Quantum Hall Systems is another example of physically rich and technologically challenging part of the condensed matter physic.
Currently I am working on the problem of energy storage in antiferroelectric liquid crystals ( Smectic C_A) at Case university with Prof. Rolfe Petschek.
