Time-Dependent Mechanical Properties of the Lens
All existing studies which have quantified the mechanical properties of the ocular lens have done so in a purely static sense. We will utilize the spinning rig to apply dynamic forces to the lens while monitoring deformations with high-speed cameras. Inverse numerical methods will then be used to estimate the mechanical properties.
