Welcome to our website!

Disability Services (DS) at the University of Texas at San Antonio promotes equal access to all university programs and activities for students with disabilities. The goals of DS are:

  • To provide services, accommodations, and equipment to enable students with disabilities to participate in and benefit from all educational programs and activities.
  • To promote an environment at UTSA that is barrier free: free from both physical barriers and barriers of attitude.
  • To encourage students to become as independent and self-reliant as possible. Toward this goal, students are expected to assume major responsibility for securing services and accommodations.
  • To provide disability awareness education to the university community through publications, programs, consultation, and the Internet.

*PLEASE READ BEFORE SCHEDULING YOUR TESTS ONLINE*

  • All tests must be scheduled a week in advance of the scheduled test date. NO EXCUSES.
  • Make sure you schedule your test at right campus using the correct online form. Unless prior arrangements have been made with the instructor and Disability Services, you must take the exam at the campus where the class occurs.
  • If you have any technical difficulties using the form, please contact Travis Irby (travis.irby@utsa.edu). The form may not work correctly with Macs.
  • Your test is not scheduled until you receive a confirmation e-mail from Disability Services staff.
  • If you do not receive a confirmation in 24 hours please contact Disability Services immediately. Please allow 48 hours if you are scheduling the exam over the weekend.
  • If you need to move your test to another day or time, you must have your professor's permission. Please do not schedule your test at another day or time unless you have already received the professor's permission.
  • If your test is on a Saturday, please inform the professor that you need to schedule the exam on the Friday before the exam or the Monday after the exam. Disability Services is not open on Saturdays.
  • If your test occurs outside normal office hours (The Main Campus office operates from 8 a.m.-6:30 p.m., Mon. through Thurs. and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on Fri. The DT Campus office operates from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Mon. through Fri.), you must talk to your professor to take it earlier in the day (or early the next day).

  • Make sure all information is accurate. We have dozens of tests every week and do not have time to double check every piece of information.
  • We have a very large volume of tests during the semester. Due to our limited space and staff, we ask that you please follow these procedures when scheduling your tests.

Thanks for your time and help with this matter. GOOD LUCK!
