Great Conversation! is a UTSA signature event benefiting UTSA's Honors College. Over the past ten years, the generous support of sponsors has provided merit scholarships to hundreds of Honors College students and continues to do so. This year, a portion of funds raised for the event will be dedicated to the creation of an endowment in support of learning opportunities outside the classroom. The endowment would ultimately sustain three programs: the Archer Fellows Program (D.C.); Legislative Scholars (Austin); and the Summer Law School Preparation Academy (San Antonio). Each of these programs provide Honors College students with exceptional formative opportunities. Presidential Scholar ($50,000)
Create a permanent endowment to award one merit-based scholarship each year. Recognition in UTSA Giving magazine; Continuous electronic logo projection in the ITC dome and acknowledgment in the event invitation, website, and program. Table for 9 guests with topic of your choice or selection made by your guests.
Study Abroad Scholar ($25,000)
Create a permanent endowment to award one scholarship each year for an educationally enriching international experience. Recognition in UTSA Giving magazine; continuous electronic logo projection in the ITC dome and acknowledgement in the event invitation, website, and program. Table for 9 guests with topic of your choice or selection made by your guests.
Serving Society Leadership Award ($10,000)
Support student enrichment opportunities, such as the UT System Archer Center program in Washington, D.C. Recognition in UTSA Giving magazine; continuous electronic logo projection in the ITC dome and acknowledgement in the event invitation, website, and program. Table for 8 guests with topic of your choice or selection made by your guests.
Undergraduate Research Stipend ($5,000)
Research opportunities for students to engage and assist faculty in research and present their papers and posters at conferences. Recognition in UTSA Giving magazine; continuous electronic logo projection in the ITC dome and acknowledgement in the event invitation, website, and program. Table for 8 guests with topic of your choice or selection made by your guests.
Summa Cum Laude ($2,500)
Provides annual merit scholarships to recruit and retain the brightest students who have achieved distinction in academics, the arts, or leadership. Acknowledgement in the event invitation, website, and program. Table for 8 guests with topic of your choice or selection made by your guests.
Magna Cum Laude ($1,500)
Provides annual merit scholarships to provide student enrichment opportunities for students to travel, assume leadership roles, accept non-paid internships. Acknowledgement in the event invitation, website, and program. Table for 8 guests with topic of your choice or selection made by your guests.
