The following handouts provide basic information about the prerequisite courses, preparation, and application process for the different health professions. For some handouts, the prescribed courses are based on one particular institution's program and translated into UTSA courses. Since there is some variation in requirements for programs at other institutions, you are advised to consult individual programs for their specific prerequisites. Finally, each institution can change its program requirements at any time. You will need to review regularly. The University Health Professions Office encourages you to make an appointment to meet with a health professions advisor at least once every semester.
