For this year's football Homecoming celebration, the University commissioned Cecilia Paz Mujica to create the "Believe in UTSA. Be UTSA " Homecoming poster artwork!

In 2006, Cecilia’s entry into the first annual Homecoming Poster Art Contest was selected for use on the Homecoming poster! Last year she designed our 1st Fall Homecoming poster and UTSA is excited to once again display Cecilia’s wonderful talent for Homecoming!
Cecilia graduated from UTSA in 2006 with degrees in Art and Art History, both with International Honors. In 2007, Cecilia’s Sonata San Antonio was selected as the official poster for the 2008 Fiesta San Antonio, a ten-day, city-wide, multicultural celebration. In 2008, her mural, Life Tree, was included into UTSA’s permanent art collection and presently hangs at the Inclusion and Community Engagement Center at UTSA. In 2010, Cecilia’s Fiesta wreath art was selected as the official poster for the 2011 Fiesta San Antonio! Additionally, from March to May 2011 the UTSA University Center’s Gallery 23 exhibited Cecilia’s collection, El Jardin de la Vida.
Cecilia was born and raised in Houston, Texas to Chilean parents. She began her artistic life at the age of three, learning and developing skills by observing her father at work on his own art projects. By noting the vibrant color of life all around her, Cecilia has maintained a lifelong interest in capturing some part of life’s splendor in her work.
