An employee is defined as one who is employed to work at least twenty (20) hours per week for a period of at least four and one-half (4-1/2) months, excluding students employed in positions, which require student status as a condition for employment.

Faculty members appointed on a nine-month basis at least half time or more for a period of four and one-half months or longer are eligible to accrue sick leave, under the same provisions applicable to other University employees.
