MEMORANDUM

Is Business Affairs a better place to work than it was two years ago?  One year ago?  What do we in Business Affairs do well?  What areas need improvement?  What opportunities remain to improve our services and workplace satisfaction?  Whether you’ve been working here for 1 month or over 30 years, I need you to help me in our pursuit of excellence by participating in the Survey of Organizational Excellence (the Survey) in February. 

The confidential Survey is a tool to measure organization successes and to identify areas for improvement.  It is administered by The Center for Organizational Excellence at UT Austin and has been used with other universities and state offices as a tool to build quality and excellence in organizations.

When we participated in the survey in 2007, we achieved an 85% participation rate which is incredible!  But instead of looking back, let’s look forward aiming for a 90% participation rate in this year’s Survey.  With your assistance, we can do it!  Visit the SOE link on the Business Affairs website (http://www.utsa.edu/bussvc/) for a special video message, FAQs and examples of initiatives and improvements since 2007.
