The University of Texas System Current Accountability Website - The UT System Accountability Report examines a variety of different measures such as student enrollment,
graduation records and levels of satisfaction, excellence in teaching, research
and health care, and community service and collaboration, the UT System's second
accountability report leads the nation in the breadth and depth of its
inquiries.
THECB PREP Query Tool and New PREP Tool- Data collected from Texas public higher education institutions are summarized
into a management information system database. These summaries of certified data
for the most recent five years are accessible through the PREP system.
Generally, information is available by institution or statewide for selected
semesters. This tool is currently being phased out, but contains information up to Fall 2006. The first release of the “new” PREP queries is available and includes enrollment and degrees awarded queries while these do not yet cover the entire range of enrollment and degrees awarded information of the “old” PREP counterpart, roll-outs of additional queries will happen frequently over the next several weeks.
Texas Higher Education Data - This page provides access to Texas higher education data and related data sources via reports,
statistics, queries, and other interactive tools. The Quick Facts section contains frequently requested statewide data. Higher
Education Topics and Interactive Access to Data sections have links for
accessing interactive reports and queries. Links to standard and/or static
reports are located in Reports/Statistics. Reporting Data to the CB has
documentation for the higher education data collections that are reported to and
maintained at the Coordinating Board.
Texas State
Data Center and Office of the State Demographer - The Texas State Data Center and Office of the State Demographer, in cooperation with a network of affiliates , functions as a focal point for the distribution of Census information for Texas. The Center also disseminates population estimates and projections for Texas, as well as other information from the federal government, state government, and other sources.
National
Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) -
The core postsecondary education data collection program for NCES, is a system of surveys designed to collect data from all primary providers of postsecondary education. IPEDS is a single, comprehensive system designed to encompass all institutions and educational organizations whose primary purpose is to provide postsecondary education.
The Peer Analysis System -
The Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) Peer Analysis System is a
tool designed to enable a user to compare a postsecondary institution of the user’s
choice - termed the LinchPin in this system - to a group of peer institutions which are also
selected by the user. Such comparisons are done by generating reports using selected variables
from the IPEDS variables of interest. There is also a help file located at:

The American FactFinder -
American FactFinder is your source for population, housing, economic and geographic data from Census 2000, the 1990 Decennial Census, the 1997 and 2002 Economic Censuses, the American Community Survey, and the Population Estimates Program.
